ABOUT ME

My name is Isabel Scates, and I recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a minor in Architecture. With a mother who is an Interior Designer and a father who works as a General Contractor, I was introduced to the world of design and construction from a young age. This unique upbringing sparked my passion for creating thoughtful, impactful spaces.

In high school, I deepened this interest by founding and leading an Interior Design Club, taking every opportunity to expand my knowledge and creativity. At OU, I continued to develop my skills, focusing on designing interiors that are both distinctive and inviting—spaces that resonate with people and leave a lasting impression.

Throughout college, I gained hands-on experience through three summer internships. I began at Corgan's Dallas office, where I worked on education design projects, then joined Studio 11 Design, also in Dallas, focusing on hospitality interiors. Most recently, I interned with Corgan’s Dublin office, contributing to a range of special projects. These experiences broadened my perspective and strengthened my versatility as a designer.

I’m a motivated, creative thinker who thrives in collaborative environments and is always eager to learn. When I’m not immersed in design, you’ll find me spending time with friends, playing sand volleyball, or cheering on the Sooners. Boomer Sooner!
